Miss Stephanie Boling
Welcome to an exciting year with fun and new experiences for your 1st grader! My name is Stephanie Boling, and I am going to be your child’s 1st Grade Teacher. I am excited to teach and to learn from your child! It brings me great joy to be teaching here at Mill Creek Elementary! I student-taught here at Mill Creek six years ago, before returning to Mill Creek, I taught in the Caldwell School District as a fourth grade teacher, then transitioned back to Mill Creek as a Kindergarten teacher. This will be my fourth year teaching first grade, which I love! I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. While completing my degree, I worked at an inclusive preschool for two years, where I developed a Kindergarten Readiness Program. Also, prior to teaching, I worked with children with developmental and physical disabilities for five years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your child and to see your child grow. We are going to have a blast this year!
A few things about me are: I love the outdoors, sports, coaching volleyball, reading, and movies. I am a diehard BSU Football Fan, and love to spend time with my friends and family. A quirky thing about me is I love ketchup--a lot of it! I believe that all children can learn and all children are special. One of my goals this year is to provide an education that is engaging, challenging, safe, and fun. These things are essential to each child’s success. Parent communication and involvement are hugely important and I believe that anything is possible. My classroom environment is built on the “I can do it” attitude, and that with hard work and determination, a child can reach his/her goals. Teaching is my passion, and watching students grow and develop to reach their full potential is amazing to be a part of! I love seeing the “light bulb” go on in students, and the “aha” moment of grasping something that they have either struggled with or just come across!
Things to look forward to this year are: reading with your child, volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning field trips, and hands-on learning for your child, and maybe for you! I have your child’s best interests at heart, and will work hard to make sure that your child is getting the best possible educational experience that he/she can.
I look forward to working with you and communicating with you about your child’s success. My door is always open if you need anything!
Thank you and I look forward to a wonderful year! :)
